The Magic of Ordinary Days Pg.181-208

Summary:

Livvy went to bed and dreamed of her memories with the father of he baby. Edward took her to dinner, a museum, and dancing. They kissed and Edward kept coming back. Edward describes how he wants to own a ski resort. Later they went dancing, and started drinking. This was a first time for Livvy because her father is a minister and of course one thing led to another. Like any soldier, Edward said he would write Livvy and then he said farewell.

The next chapter shows Rays jealously for Rose and Lorelei. Livvy is spending most of her time at Camp Amache watching Rose fulfill her dream of teaching English. Ray wants her to spend time on the the farm with him so he takes her to help with the elm grove. She enjoyed this time with him and even reminded this of when she helped her mother with the garden,

Ray is implying he and Livvy are meant to be by having a pregnancy book in his room. He wants to care for Livvy and says when she confesses that she went through his room that he has nothing to hide. He wants to be just like his father who loved and cared for his wife. This touching conversation led to Ray bringing out all of his courage to kiss Livvy. He asked her what she liked about him but all she could answer was that she never meant to hurt him. All night Livvy couldn't sleep, she thought of the faults of Ray rather than the good aspects of him. 

Later Livvy took another drive to Camp Amache. There Livvy chaperoned a dance for Rose and Lorelei. Livvy finally told the girls that the baby was not Ray's and that she didn't love him. Rose and Lorelei leaked information about how the soldiers they are "dating" call them often but they don't know much about them. This leaves chills in Livvy because they are still holding information back.

That JERK! That line is running through my head as I am reading those sections. Edward turns Livvy on, seduces her, and leaves. I don't know what happens next but I know it can't be good because Livvy is with nice and kind Ray not Edward. The name Edward reminds me of Twilight and just makes the book at these sections even worse. But most girls would disagree because it's Jacobs being a jerk. That is a whole other story.

Ray is even acting jealous, he has the look of love on his face and Livvy just ignores it. He checked a book about pregnancy so he could be a good father and when he kisses her she can't say anything she likes about him. To me Livvy is doing to Ray what Edward did to Livvy. This is turning into a jumbled mess when it could be a wonderful connection between Ray and Livvy. Ray is so touching when he said he wants to be a good man like his father. He father was kind and Ray as a child could see it. This means that Ray is perfect for Livvy.
